If you are looking to better understand computer software in common use, your local library may be the place to go. Many libraries in North America offer once or twice-weekly classes that can cover basics of computing. If you’re looking to learn about the Microsoft Office Suite or Microsoft 365, this may be the best option for you, although the classes do not often go into great depth and they can move rather slowly. Still, if you just need a minimal amount of experience, your local library is always a useful (and usually a free) resource.
Online Excel Classes
If you’re hoping to work on the computer to sharpen your skills with Excel, another way of learning is through an online class.
Online classes bring you the best of all worlds. They allow you to work at your own pace, whether that means moving faster or slower than the average class would. Perhaps best of all, online classes allow you to work from your home, without having to drive to a college or a school in order to learn how to use Excel better. However, unlike online Excel training classes, these classes will often require showing up and sitting in a classroom for a few hours a week, learning at whatever pace the rest of the class is going at. It might also be more difficult to get help you may need in a class when you’re constantly vying for the attention of your instructor with 20 or more other students.
